Report any automobile accident to the police, regardless of who is at fault for the accident.
Report any burglary or theft loss to the police.
Provided it is safe to do so, proceed with minor temporary repairs and/or take other steps to protect your property from further damage. Maintain records of any expenses regarding the temporary repairs to provide to your adjuster.
Do not dispose of damaged items as the adjuster may want to examine them.
Your insurance adjuster will contact you and advise you how to proceed with your claim and will explain what forms or documents will be required to complete your claim.
